If you’re struggling in one or more of the main staging areas of experience (love, health, wealth, or life direction), here’s a simple practice you can use right away. Be still. Take ten minutes each day to sit quietly with your eyes closed. Allow yourself simply to observe whatever thoughts or feelings come up, releasing all concern, conclusions, criticisms, and judgments. Many experience a surprising resolution simply by practicing being still in this way. Take radical responsibility. Assume that you are the creator of the situation, even if it appears to result from the will of others. Consider how this problem actually may be serving you, either by protecting you from something you fear or imagine would be worse. All of this operates at the level of belief, which may be unwitting. For example, never having money may protect you from being a “bad person,” if you believe that only bad people get ahead in the world, and so on. Note: radical responsibility is not blame! Adopt a better version of self. Witness the situation with poise, deliberately inviting the feeling that you’re who you want to be. Look for evidence that what you want to be true about you is already true, at least somewhat. Do this until you feel a sense of relief. Rest in this feeling. If you feel stuck after diligent use of these steps, or the situation does not improve naturally on its own, you may want to consider a Facilitating session. Have a pressing professional or personal problem? Feeling lost or stuck? Field Coaching can provide an immediate solution in a single session, which lasts 20-30 minutes. For details, see our Field Coaching page. Each quarter, the Field Center hosts a free, iinformal Café gathering via phone bridge for newcomers, conducted by our founder and director, Philip Golabuk, to answer questions about Field theory and practice, and respond to issues and concerns specific to one of the four staging areas of experience—love, health, wealth, and life direction. Callers can bring questions about problems or issues they're facing, and receive personal tips and suggestions on how Field training can help. Café programs last an hour and are open to anyone who has not taken the Field Center Course, and to Field training students who purchased the Course within the 60 days prior to the Café program in which they plan to enroll. For details including free online registration, click here. The link below will take you to Field Central, our searchable knowledge database. You'll also find Basic Field Theory and Fielding Questions (our FAQs) on the same page.
The Carl Warner Fund provides financial support to those who otherwise might postpone their study of Field training and to educators employed at an accredited school and those who work full-time in a social services or green organization. This support is provided in the form of partial subsidies of Online Store purchases and in some cases, class enrollments. All awarded funds are delivered as partial refunds within 24 hours of a completed transaction. In the fall of 2002, we established the Carl Warner Fund in loving tribute to a remarkable man and Field training graduate whose life was a quiet celebration of the powerful influence of gentleness, the willingness to continually evolve, and that love of wisdom that marks all true philosophers. As Carl inspired so many during his life here to look into the heart of things, so, through this fund, we aspire to honor and follow his example and inspire others to awaken to greater life, identity, creative self-expression, inner friendship, and joy in being alive. Note that the Carl Warner Fund is self-supporting. We operate on the honor system, and ask those who can afford to purchase Store items or enroll in classes without financial aid to do so, as this will ensure that we can continue to provide support through the Fund to those who cannot. *Excludes digital/downloadable items. Special offers do not apply to purchases subsidized through the Fund. Support is not available for enrollments in programs leading to certification. Want to contact us?
